Day 20 August 30, 2009
Bird Watching!
Another gorgeous thing about Devons is the little chattering noises they make! So adorable. Its like an involuntary quiver and squeak that they do every time they see birds.
This is one of the few times that Tallulah lets Oliver come super close and *gasp* touch her. She's so focused on what's outside that I don't think she even notices him.
Day 19 August 29, 2009
To market, to market, to buy a fat ... rosemary?
This weekend I went to the West End Markets with a friend. Getting bored of the Farmers Markets at the Powerhouse and I noticed this week that a lot of the same stall owners come to West End on the Farmers Markets off weeks.
Both markets have a great selection of fruit/vegies/meat but West End has the added bonus of beautiful jewellery, clothing and lots of other little treasures.
Day 17 August 27, 2009 and Day 18 August 28, 2009
No pics today. Sorry :( Bit of a blah two days and didn't feel like documenting it.
Day 16 August 26, 2009
Playing around with more settings on my iPhone.
This was taken through the (dirty) windshield of my car. I was going to clean it up in Photoshop but I think the marks make it look a bit more authentic.
It reminds me off that scene in War of the Worlds where everyone is rushing to get on the boat before it leaves and the aliens start to come over the hills. eeeek!

Day 15 August 25, 2009
FINALLY remembered to take a teapot to work!
Drinking tea, making tea, tea cups and tea pots always make me think of my Nana.
My love for collecting tea cups was something I inherited from her and Id always be so excited to show her a new set Id bought that I knew she would love.
Every Mother's Day Id put on a little 'High Tea' at our house and we'd pull all the good sets out, drink tea and eat little cakes and sandwiches.
I miss her so much xo

Day 11: August 21, 2009
I am lucky to not work in the city so avoid peak hour traffic on my way to and from work each day.
There is a gorgeous, scenic shortcut we found that takes you through beautiful sprawling properties, acres and acres of green grass and bushland, complete with wallabies hopping by the roadside and homes where nearly everyone owns a horse.
This stretch of road has particularly beautiful sunsets so one day I think I'm going to have to stop by the roadside and get some decent shots.

Day 10 August 20, 2009
When you have cats that think they're monkeys, you're bound to find them in some interesting places.
Tallulah and Oliver love to perch themselves on top of the show screen. Especially when you're having a shower! Oliver is quite content to just sit there and watch but Tallulah likes to try and walk from the shower screen to the door frame (you know that bit that's about 10mm wide and up against the wall) or from the screen to the SHOWER HEAD. Its Bathe At Your Own Risk at our place.
If you leave the door open while you're showering, she'll often jump in and run around a few times then leave. Then she'll make her way back in once you're done to lick all the water off the tiles. Weirdos!
Seriously the greatest 2 cats in the world <3

Day 9: August 19, 2009
I can not even express my excitement for this movie!!
I think Where the Wild Things Are will be this generation's Neverending Story. They sure don't make kids movies like that anymore and its a terrible, terrible thing.
Down with Disney! Say NO to Dora! Get rid of the Wiggles and stop frying kids brains! Make them use their IMAGINATIONS.
If you haven't seen the trailer yet, do yourself a favour: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nYp-uW6r9eM

Day 7: August 17, 2009
These not so little tootsies belong to my boyfriend/best friend/most favourite person in the world.
He makes me laugh, he makes me cry, but most of all he makes my website for me :P Which is just what he was doing here, in bed, while watching Grey's Anatomy (which he totally loves but will never admit to). xo

Day 6: August 16, 2009
Today was a much need lazy sunday which was spent inside all day except for a quick trip out to breakfast this morning. Luckily I love, love, love our house so staying inside all day is not a chore.
We have vaulted ceilings in the kitchen/living area of our house and this is a shot of them at night. It kind of reminds me of a desaturated colour spectrum or maybe Ive just been looking at swatch books too long!
Day 5: August 15, 2009
Well it's that time of year again. At least, it WAS that time of year.
EKKA has once again come and gone and here I sit, full of chocolate and donuts, too much money missing from my purse and starting to get the sniffles.
Was it worth it? Heck yes. Best EKKA year in a long time.
P.S. I need a baby goat, a horse, some chickens and a Cardigan Cori. Kthanx.

Day 4: August 14, 2009
You should probably get used to pictures of my cats because that's what the majority of my pictures are going to be of!
This little man is Oliver. He's my baby and is a Devon Rex aka more monkey and dog than cat. He hardly ever leaves my side when I'm working in the office and spends his time (like right now trying to get cuddles and scratches but rubbing his face and the rest of his body all over my hands will I try to type.
Oh lovely, now he''s decided to lay down on my mouse pad (with the mouse underneath). At least I can type freely for a few minutes!

Day 3: August 13, 2009
Day 2: August 12, 2009
Gah! Already forgetting to post pics each day! I promise this was taken on Friday!
We put our Golf (Black Betty) in to be serviced and got a new 2009 Golf TSi to use for the day. Ugly outside compared to the old ones but oh so nice inside. I love new car smell.
Nothing cuter than a VW logo. You can see me all distorted in this one too!
